Rev. Marcus Darrell Allen, Sr.
Yet in all these things we are more than conquerors through Him who loved us.
Rev. Marcus Darrell Allen Sr. is the Senior Pastor of Union Branch Baptist Church; Prince George, Va. Rev.
Allen was born in Clarksdale, MS. At the age of 6 he moved to Milwaukee, WI where he was raised.
Rev. Allen was licensed to preach July 1997 and ordained July 2005 at Mt. Pilgrim Missionary Baptist Church under Pastor George H. Jolly.
As an associate minister at Mt. Pilgrim, Rev. Allen was groomed and developed to be the preacher he is today.
In 2004 Rev. Allen joined Greater Missionary Baptist Church under Pastor Willie J. Freeman in Clarksville, TN.
There he preached numerous revivals; preaching and teaching for men and youth conferences, Sunday school teacher,
vacation bible school teacher, teacher of Wednesday night bible study, and was a member of many other auxiliaries.
Upon being stationed in Virginia Rev. Allen became a member of Tabernacle Baptist Church in Petersburg, VA under the leadership of Rev. Dr. Robert A. Diggs.
There he was an active member of the youth ministry, teacher of Sunday school, Wednesday night bible studies and mentor in the Boys to Men Ministry.
Rev. Allen has also preached and taught at churches in Afghanistan and Iraq assisting Soldiers with motivation and spiritual guidance to help endure the hardships of being in a war zone.
Under the preaching power of the Holy Spirit many lives have been changed and souls have been saved due to his obedience to God.
August 2001 Rev. Allen joined the United States Army as a Petroleum Supply Specialist.
Upon completion of training, Germany was his first duty station.
While stationed in Germany he deployed to Iraq in 2003.
In March 2004, Rev. Allen reported to Fort Campbell, KY.
As a member of the 101st Screaming Eagles he completed another combat tour to Iraq and one to Afghanistan.
As a Staff Sergeant in the United States Army he has led many Soldiers into combat and under his leadership they have all returned home safely.
Rev Allen's final duty stationed was at Fort Lee, VA as an instructor at the Petroleum and Water Department.
Rev. Allen has been awarded the Army Good Conduct Medal, Army Achievement Medal, Army Accommodation Medal (5), Bronze Star Medal as well as numerous other awards.
Rev. Allen is currently attending the Samuel Dewitt Proctor School of Theology at Virginia Union University to achieve a Masters of Divinity.
Rev. Allen is married to the former Terra Cook of Cordova, AL. God has blessed them with three beautiful children: Alexandrea, Mekiyah and Marcus Jr.
